Quick Pros:
Close to airport and downtown
Good swimmable beach
Above average service
Spacious room with balcony
Quick Cons:
1 pool
No free wifi
Okay food
Check In: I asked for 2 beds but I was given king room. Check in was quick (less than 5 mins).

Room: Spacious with 1 king bed and a balcony. Partial ocean view. The view from the room was of the hotel next door and their pool was way better. No bathtub. Clean room.

Hotel: A solid 3 star, no more than that. Hallway to the rooms looked wornout. Lobby area had plenty seating and multiple concierge desks. The entrance of the hotel is pretty. There are a few shops (including a pharmacy) near the lobby area.

Restaurants: About 6 including bars. Live pasta bar for lunch and dinner. Egg station for breakfasts. Food options included salads, pasta, pizza, steak, rice, beef, ham, and a variety of desserts. Lots of food options, but as a vegetarian, I could only eat pasta – I ate a lot of pasta. Food tasted average. Not amazing, not bad.
Breakfast included pancakes, hashbrowns, eggs, tea/coffee, juices, etc.
They took my room number when we went for bf/lunch/dinner – which suggests that you can only have 3 meals a day.

1 a la carte restaurant – Italian. Food portion was like a snack, I had to order the same thing again! Did I mention I love pasta?

Beach: Swimmable, clean, beach chairs available. Vendors on the beach. We played volleyball and football every day.

Just 1 pool – kinda making it hard to come back to this resort. There is a pool bar.
Movies on big screen by the beach/pool area at night. Dance shows at night as entertainment.

Kids-friendly hotel. They had a kids pool which wasn’t open when I was there. They had activities for kids and teens.

Day passes: USD80 for 3pm-1am. If you want your guest to use your room, its USD90 (basically adding a person to your room).
I inquired about booking an extra room, and I was quoted USD 350/night which is ridiculous price for the place. I explained that I am a travel agent and he offered me a room with no view for USD190/night. Still too expensive for the hotel.
Overall: A solid 3 star. Basic amenities and experience. I won’t go back. I’d rather pay the same or a little extra to go to a resort with more amenities and probability of a better experience. But if you are on a budget, this is a good choice.
